Designing visual worlds that connect people to stories.
I’m Grace Arnott-Hayes, a London-based Concept Designer, Motion Designer and Printmaker working across live entertainment, theatre and visual culture. My work spans international touring artists, theatre productions and independent printmaking, united by a research-led approach to visual storytelling.
My practice explores how images become experiences. Whether designing for an arena tour, a theatre production or a limited-edition print, I'm interested in creating visual work that people don't just see, but remember.
Every project begins with the same question:
How can an image make someone feel something?
PRACTICE
I work at the intersection of concept design, motion graphics and storytelling, developing visual languages that shape the atmosphere and emotional identity of a project.
My process is rooted in research. Drawing from art, architecture, photography, film, fashion and visual culture, I build concepts that translate ideas into environments audiences can experience rather than simply observe.
Alongside my commercial practice, I develop independent printmaking and painting projects that explore memory, landscape and materiality. While the medium changes, the intention remains the same: to create work that people connect with emotionally.
EXPERIENCE
I currently work at FRAY Studio, where I develop concept design and motion content for international touring artists, theatre productions and large-scale live experiences.
Before joining FRAY in 2021, I worked as a Digital Designer at Sony Interactive Entertainment (PlayStation), producing interactive digital campaigns and marketing experiences.
Earlier roles include Apple Retail Marketing and Brand42, where I developed a strong foundation in visual communication, brand design and collaborative creative practice.
